This might seem a late review but it's fine since Sakura Festival 2013 is until May 16. This means that I have 10 days more at the time of writing of this post. Anyway, this year's Sakura Festival event is different than last year. Let's have a brief review of it.
Last year, Sakura Matsuri (Hanami Festival) started by the promotion of Kinjutsu: Sakura Scatter - remove all negative status and ignore 100% dodge of enemy for 1 turn. This skill can be upgraded reducing 100% dodge of enemy for 3 turns. There are also other items like the clothing, weapon, and back items. However, the most exciting part was the return of Kinjutsu: Phantom Impulse. This was decided via poll. Okay I think this is enough. Let's move on.
This year's Sakura Festival is even more exciting. First, we have 4 event World Bosses. You can watch the video and see the skills - Origami Crane, Origami Deer, Origami Dragon, and Origami Bear.
Second, we can have free pet which is the Origami Panda. I think that claiming this pet is the most exciting part of this event. The other rewards from the material house are bunch of craps. Like for example, who will use the Sakura Shuriken? The Tail of Kyubi? Anyone?
Third, the coolest ninja gear is back! We can have Iron Ninja Gear set again! And lastly, the return of Kinjutsu: Phantom Impulse.
This year's event is quite pretty neat isn't it? Let me hear your thoughts!

Origami Panda is a special event pet released as a reward on Sakura Festival 2013. By looking to its skills below, you can tell that it is a support type pet. In my opinion, it is a good pet for low level ninjas or Chunins. It is free and has pretty good buffs.

Origami Bear is a special event monster on Ninja Saga. You need emblem to battle the monster or pay 20 tokens. Seal the monster using Scroll of Seal when the remaining HP is 10% or less. Get 2 extra Golden Sakuras after you defeat the monster.

Origami Dragon is a special event boss on Ninja Saga. It's a dragon made of paper. It uses water element to attack its opponents. Seal Origami Dragon using Scroll of Seal when HP remaining is 10% or less. Use Futomaki Sushi to view its HP or use the Intelligence Class jutsu you acquired during Tensai Special Jounin Exam.
Skills | Description
1. Hydro Missile - sends a missile made of water at the opponent.
2. The Fang of Gin-ryu - bites its opponent.
3. Genei Satsu - a blue-white translucent hand appears on the ground below the opponent. Causes restriction for two turns.

Fighting monsters specially the World Bosses can be intimidating if you are at low level. If it's 1 on 1, you may have the chance to defeat them. However, in 1 vs 2 World Bosses, you will need to recruit friends from your friend list to form a ninja team to help you.
So you go to "Recruit Friends" building from the village hoping to find a strong ninja. When we say strong ninja, it has to be with high HP/CP, high damage and has advance kinjutsus. Obviously, you can find them at higher levels.
In Ninja Saga, you can't recruit ninjas higher than your level. See the image below for proof or you can go on Facebook and have a look. My Ninja is level 31 and I can't recruit the level 32 ninjas. It says Lv!! insufficient.
The Trick
Using this simple trick, you can recruit higher level ninjas.
So you go to "Recruit Friends" building from the village hoping to find a strong ninja. When we say strong ninja, it has to be with high HP/CP, high damage and has advance kinjutsus. Obviously, you can find them at higher levels.

This stage will be a 1vs1 battle. You cannot recruit friends to help you. Arrange your jutsu for PVP and bring in some healing scrolls. First opponent - Lok Li, a ninja expert on taijutsu. Lok Li has a stunning skill. Second opponent - Shira, has control on bugs and insects. Shira can burn your chakra. Third opponent - Zuka, who can tame animals. It hurts you know when two opponents attack you.
Chunin Exam 4/5: Team Battle
This is suppose to be the Final Exam. But Kojima interrupted the event. A ninja named Ken was kidnapped and you have to save him. But 3 ninjas from the Earth village will block you from chasing Kojima so your team will have to fight them. Objective: Defeat the earth village ninjas. Recruit 2 team mates to join the battle. Read this: Cheat recruit members.
Chunin Exam 5/5: Final
Arrest Kojima and bring Ken back.
Congratulations! You have passed the exam! Back in 2010, this campaign is so difficult to pass.

Tailed Beast Pet Kyubi was featured at the Friendship Shop. You can get free Kyubi Pet when you have 50 friendship kunai. Unfortunately, 50 friendship kunai is hard to get. It means that you have to invite your 50 friends to play Ninja Saga. Not all of your invitation will be accepted.
1. Create 50 Facebook accounts using 50 email addresses.
2. Invite each Facebook account to play Ninja Saga
3. Accept each account and create at least lvl 1 ninja.
4. Done! You now have 50 friendship kunai!
Drawback: Doing this manually may get your IP ban because you are using only 1 IP to create Facebook accounts. Also, creating the accounts manually is painful. The Facebook accounts should be also Phone Verified. You may need to buy 50 sims to verify each account.
